President of Toyota Motorsports and Alex Meshkin

Alex Meshkin is a successful digital media entrepreneur bringing innovation to the entertainment, sports, and consumer and enterprise markets.

Launching his first consumer internet start-up in 1999, Alex is no stranger to digital media companies. Alex Meshkin however, is widely known as the founder of Toyota Motorsports’ flagship NASCAR racing team, Bang! Racing. Toyota selected Alex Meshkin from 83 NASCAR race team candidates; and chose him to lead Toyota’s factory supported NASCAR racing team. This accomplishment is even more noteworthy, when realizing all of the other candidates were existing race teams, while Bang Racing, did not even have a single employee or race production facility.   Toyota selected Alex Meshkin because of his leadership capabilities, a clear vision and belief in a business plan that was focused on generating exposure and revenues through digital channels to increase the value proposition for advertisers and sponsors. Bang! Racing in its inaugural season made NASCAR history – setting numerous milestones. As the principle owner of Bang! Racing, Alex became the youngest team owner in NASCAR history and the team became the most successful first year NASCAR race team – winning Toyota’s first two (2) races in their inaugural season.

Bang, the parent company of Bang! Racing was also a success off the race track.  In its first year of operations, on less than $300K in initial investment, Bang generated over $15 million in revenues including, a cash flow positive joint venture with Vertrue, Inc. and eBay as the strategic technology partner – creating and operating  the first NASCAR consumer membership and affinity marketing club.

By virtue of his youth, just 23 years old, Alex quickly ascended becoming one of NASCAR’s elite team owners, and a leading face for NASCAR and recurring guest on Fox News Channel. Alex was also featured on CNBC Squawk Box, and in numerous publications including, Fortune, Sporting News, Racer, Associated Press and Sports Illustrated.

Bang! Racing’s sponsors included, Toyota Motor Sales, DuPont, Viacom (Showtime Networks), Line-X, Valvoline and Snap-On Tools. In 2005, the race team was acquired by Toyota Motorsports and Bill Davis Racing. The technology divisions were merged in 2006 into Cloverleaf Partners and the NASCAR membership club became FastTrack Savings operating as DealPass.com.

Prior to Bang! Racing, Alex Meshkin founded and operated a global software development company with clients including Johnson & Johnson as well as Eli Lilly and Company. Additionally, Alex has served as Director of Product and Strategic Development of cyberCFO, a venture funded financial services firm and later as VP and GM at Cloverleaf Partners.  Alex Meshkin started his digital media entrepreneurial career at the age of 19, when he founded and led the first online “points” based dynamic commerce/auction model. Shortly after launch, Surfbuzz merged with a public holding company valuing the company at $24 million.
